The Challenge

As part of the overall project ‘New Work’ digital, analog, and cultural needs are to be identified and evaluated, and integrated into employees’ work lives through overarching change management.

The Vision

‘New Work’ should become visible in the analog work environment. Existing tasks and challenges serve as the guiding principles for implementation.

The office becomes a marketplace of knowledge and a place for social interaction -– it is no longer ‘just’ for work.

The Method

We raise awareness of the need for change, establish cultural guidelines as the basis for digital and analog transformation, and implement them with project-wide change management. By participating in the design of the new office spaces and the digital workplace, we reduce employees’ (emotional) stress while simultaneously enhancing their positive perception. We develop a centralized change management approach that prioritizes the participation of all. No one is left alone.

The Results

The new ELK WUE building is the result of an individual office design. The new construction is optimally tailored to the needs and challenges of the staff. The original plan to assign a fixed workspace to all employees was revised, flex desks were introduced, and the demands of the employees for flexible work models were met. This resulted in savings by eliminating previously planned branch offices, saving a seven-figure amount annually. The associated digital workplace performs equally well everywhere: whether in the home office, the new office, or while traveling. It serves as a link for all employees, ensuring process security, uniform working methods, and, in combination with the cultural guidelines and the new office, joy in work..

The Method

We create awareness for the necessity of change. We reduce the (emotional) overload of the employees and multiply the positive perception at the same time.

 

We develop a centralised change management that focuses on the participation of all. No one is left alone and everyone is animated together to fill the new building and the associated ways of working with life. A strategy for activation measures to use digital and analogue.

In the linked project, we were given the mandate to lead the culture change. This allows us to connect the sub-projects in a meaningful way and establish a new way of working in the analogue, digital and mental workplace.

The Result

The new building is the result of an individual office design. The new building is optimally adapted to the needs and challenges of the college.

 

The workplaces support the creativity and productivity of the staff and meet the most modern standards.

The employees actively shape the spatial change of the working environment from the very beginning. The identification with the new cultural guidelines and working methods is thus also optimally supported in the analogue room. We at 3kubik are not alone in this. This project is accompanied by Vitra and the architect Hannes Riehle.

The Challenge

Our client Swietelsky is planning a strong increase in new talent for the future. Therefore, the challenge is to provide the
employees with diverse workplaces and collaborative workspaces that are oriented towards the needs of the professionals, but at the same time ensure an efficient use of space.

The design of the office space should go beyond pure function. Swietelsky is much more concerned with promoting collaboration and cooperation and supporting the company’s digital profile with the new architecture.

The Vision

We create a physical workplace under the motto “my home is my castle” and thus make the office a second home – a place where people like to be. The workplace in the analogue space is thus part of an authentic working world and the harmonisation of digital and physical work.

The Method

In order to carry the project broadly into the department and the company, we identified key users or internal influencers who, as direct contacts, kept the fears and barriers of the change low. These influencers were part of a defined change campaign that accompanied the course of the project in small steps.

In joint workshops with all project participants, we conducted a needs analysis and defined the scope of the project.

The Result

The result is an integrative space concept, including technical concept, greening, air conditioning, wall design, exhibits, digital showroom and retreats, which in the next step goes into the implementation planning.
